FAQ’S for the Event

Is the event free to enter?

YES! The event is open to the public! The only area that requires a ticket to enter is the “Onondaga Lake Clean Up Team Pavilion”- the VIP area. For details on the ticketed enclosure or to purchase tickets to this area, visit; http://www.onondagalakefest.com/ticketed-pavilion/

Where to park:

  • Handicap & Special Needs Parking: East Willow Bay Lot
  • Large Boat Trailers: West Willow Bay Lot
  • Athletes & Competitors: The Archery Fields & Nimo Field (on your way to Willow Bay Parking Lots, competitors will park in the fields just before you go under the I90 Bridge)
  • Vendors: Concession Lot (near SU Boathouses)
  • General Public: Longbranch Parking Lot & the Syroco Parking Lot (Syroco lot located behind the Dunkin Donuts on the corner of John Glen Blvd & Longbranch Road)


There will be 2 shuttles. 1 shuttle is ADA accessible. Shuttles will pick up attendees about every 15 minutes from the Longbranch Parking Lot & the Syroco Parking Lot and deliver attendees to the Willow Bay Parking Lot. Shuttles will stop transporting people at 7pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.

Where can I unload my kayak, canoe or paddleboard?

All competitors can drop off their boats & boards at the West Willow Bay Lot. Competitors may temporarily park and unload their boat or board. There will be an area near the “Competitor Check In” where all boats and boards can be stored. After you are done unloading, competitor vehicles must move to the Archery Fields or Nimo Lots.

Will there be wheelchair or scooter rentals?

Unfortunately, no. You will have to supply your own.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes dogs are allowed! Per Onondaga County Park rules, they must be on a leash.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Should I bring a chair?

There will be lots of picnic tables available around the park and we will also provide bleacher seating at the finish line, but if you would like to watch the races or live music or the CHOBANI Culinary competition in something a little more comfortable – then absolutely!

How do I sign up for the Corn Hole Tournament?

The Corn Hole Tournament will take place on Sunday, July 23 at 1pm. To register go to; http://www.onondagalakefest.com/crew-fest/ and click on the “sign up for Corn Hole” button.

Is the Kids Zone Free?

To play on any of the inflatables, there is a cost.  For pricing visit; http://www.onondagalakefest.com/kids-zone/

Are there ATM’s on site?

Yes! We will have a number of ATM’s available.

How do I sign up to ride on the bar bike? Does it cost anything?

To sign up for a ride on the Syracuse Pedal Tours Bar Bike, visit the Empire Crewfest Beer Tent to sign your group up. The cost is $5 per person and includes a flight of summer beers!  On the ride we’ll be conducting a Summer Release Peoples Choice Contest. Riders will vote for their favorite Summer beer during their ride. Rides last about 15 minutes and is first come first serve.

How do I sign up for the fitness classes?

There are three types of fitness classes available- all are free. People can choose between yoga, barre or hit classes. You can sign up ahead of time, or sign up the day of. The links to pre register are here;

What is the last day I can sign up for a race?

People must sign up for the kayak, canoe & paddle board races by July 22, 2017. All Dragon Board team entries must be in by Wednesday, July 19.

Where can I watch the races?

You can view most races from the finish line. We will have bleacher seating available at the finish line.
